Shazand Petrochemical
Shazand Arak Petrochemical Company is one of the largest producers of polymer products and chemicals and one of the most important infrastructure projects in Iran, which was approved in 1984 and its first phase was put into operation in 1993. Arak Petrochemical Company is known as the owner of the most diverse portfolio of petrochemical products among Iranian petrochemical complexes.
The company is also active in the field of producing catalysts for polyethylene and polypropylene production processes. In addition, this company is the only petrochemical company in Iran that produces marine fuel. The company's olefin unit delivers 40,000 tons (equivalent to approximately 50 million liters) of marine fuel annually to Iranian shipping companies.
